April 17, 2024Utica, N.Y. - Senior James Mion was selected to the New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) All-Conference First Team following a spectacular campaign. The middle blocker from Glenville, N.Y. is the sole Wildcat to be honored. -

April 11, 2024Dudley, Mass - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team was defeated by the top-seeded Nichols College Bison. The Wildcats fought hard, winning the second set, but it was not enough as the Bison would go on to win the match in four sets. The Wildcats end their season with a record of 12-16.

April 09, 2024Utica, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team defeated the SUNY Potsdam Bears in a thrilling five set battle. Behind spectacular performances from Jason Aubrey, James Mion, Jordan Weir and Peter Gottler, the Wildcats rallied back from being down 2 sets to none to win the match 3-2. The win keeps the Wildcats season alive, as the team now prepares for a matchup with the #1 ranked Nichols College.

MVB: Wildcats Sweep Bard on Senior Day
March 30, 2024Utica, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team secured a 3-0 victory over the Bard College Raptors on senior day. Seniors James Mion and Jordan Weir led the Wildcats, combining for 20 kills on 29 attacks. The win lifts the Wildcats to 13-14 on the season.

MVB: Wildcats Surge Past Bears, James Mion Sets New Record.
March 25, 2024Utica, N.Y - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team got back to .500, after defeating the SUNY Potsdam Bears 3-1 at home. The Wildcats have now won four of their last 5 matchups, pushing their record to 12-12. Senior James Mion etched his name into the SUNY Poly record book after recording two solo blocks, giving him the school record with 67.

February 25, 2024Erie, Pa. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team picked up a victory against Carlow before dropping a match to Penn St.-Behrend on Sunday afternoon. In the first match, the Wildcats won the match 3-1. In the second match, the Wildcats lost in straight sets 3-0.

February 24, 2024ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team dropped both matches on Saturday to Elizabethtown and St. John Fisher. In the first match against Elizabethtown, the Wildcats lost 3-2 after winning the fourth set to extend the match to the final set. In the second match against St. John Fisher the Wildcats lost in straight sets, 3-0.

February 18, 2024OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team swept the trip-match on Sunday, beating Old Westbury 3-0 and John Jay 3-1. With the wins on Sunday, the Wildcats end the weekend 2-2 on their downstate trip and move to 7-8 overall.

The exciting back-and-forth match featured four sets, with the Wildcats taking home the match with a 3-1 victory. The last set proved to be the most exciting, in which the Wildcats took the set 25-23.

January 31, 2024AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team defeated Wells College in straight sets on Wednesday night in the non-conference matchup. The Wildcats dominated all three sets, winning 25-14, 25-16, and 25-17. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 3-5 on the season.

The Wildcats won the first match against Hilbert 3-1, before falling in the second match against Rutgers-Newark 3-1. With the split, the Wildcats move to 2-5 on the season.

January 24, 2024ALBANY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team picked up their first win on Wednesday evening against Russel Sage, winning in straight sets 3-0. With the win, the Wildcats move to 1-4 on the season. It was the first career win for Wildcats Head Coach Daniel Short.

January 19, 2024ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team competed in a tri-match at Nazareth College on Friday night. The Wildcats played both Nazareth in the first match, and then played Lasell in the second match. The Wildcats lost the first match with Nazareth 3-0, before losing to Lasell 3-0.

January 13, 2024ELMIRA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team opened up their 2024 season against Misericordia and Elmira on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats would drop both matches 3-0, and start 0-2 on the season. Despite not winning a set, the Wildcats had three total sets go into extra points.
