MVB: Farnham and Wicher Earn NECC All-Conference Honors.
April 11, 2023MANSFIELD, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) has announced its 2023 Men’s Volleyball All-Conference teams and major award winners. The awards were voted on by the conference’s nine head coaches following the conclusion of the regular season schedule. Two SUNY Poly players earned All-Conference honors; Nathan Farnham was a Second Team selection and Jacob Wicher was named to the Del Malloy Sportsmanship Team. -
MVB: Wildcats Season Comes to an End in NECC Quarterfinal Loss to Potsdam.
April 11, 2023POTSDAM, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team lost to SUNY Potsdam on Tuesday night in the NECC Quarterfinal game. Potsdam won in straight sets to advance to the semifinals of the NECC Tournament. The Bears displayed their prowess on the court, outhitting the Wildcats throughout the match. SUNY Potsdam emerged victorious with a final score of 3-0, winning the sets with scores of 25-23, 25-20, and 25-23.

April 08, 2023POTSDAM, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team wrapped up their regular season on Saturday with a loss to Potsdam in straight sets. The scores of the sets were 25-22, 26-24, and 25-19. The Wildcats finish their regular season with a 9-14 record and a 4-4 record in NECC play.

April 06, 2023ANNANDALE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team claimed a 3-1 victory over NECC opponent Bard College on Thursday night. SUNY Poly won with scores of 25-18, 25-18, 28-30, and 25-19, improving their record to 9-13 with a 3-2 NECC record this season.

April 02, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat against Endicott on Saturday morning at the Campus Center Gym. Endicott won 25-13, 25-21, 25-19. The Wildcats are now 8-13 this season with a 3-3 record in NECC play.

MVB: Wildcats Celebrate Senior Day With NECC Match Against Nichols.
April 01, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats faced off against the Nichols College Bison on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they were unable to secure a victory, as the Bison won in straight sets, 3-0. Prior to the game, the Wildcats took some time to host their annual Senior Day Celebration where the four seniors; Patrick Farrell, Kohei Clark, Jacob Wicher, and Nathan Farnham were honored for their contributions to SUNY Poly men’s volleyball.

MVB: Wildcats Improve to 3-1 in NECC Play With a 3-1 Win Over Johnson.
March 26, 2023JOHNSON, VT. - The SUNY Poly's men's volleyball team traveled to Northern Vermont-Johnson on Sunday for a NECC match. SUNY Poly won the match 3-1, with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, and 25-19. SUNY Poly's record improved to 6-10 overall and 2-1 in conference play, while Northern Vermont-Johnson's record fell to 9-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

March 18, 2023ALBANY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team earned a pair of wins on Saturday in a tri-match at Russel Sage College. The Wildcats beat the Sage Gators 3-0 to earn their second NECC win of the season. In the second match, the Wildcats beat Emmanuel 3-1. SUNY Poly is now 7-11 this season with a 2-1 record in NECC play.

March 11, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Men's Volleyball team secured a dominant 3-0 victory against Lesley University at the Wildcat Field House on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats dominated the match, with scores of 25-12, 25-8, and 25-14. The win improves SUNY Poly's record to 3-10, while Lesley drops to 0-5.

March 10, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team lost to Eastern Nazarene 3-1 in a closely contested matchup on Friday evening. The set scores were 25-16, 25-22, 26-24, 25-23. The Wildcats are now 3-10 with a 0-1 record in NECC play. Eastern Nazarene improved to 10-9 and 1-0 in NECC play.

MVB: Wildcats Game at Rutgers-Newark Canceled.
March 03, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The men's volleyball game between SUNY Poly and Rutgers-Newark that was supposed to take place on Saturday, March 4th, has been called off. The reason for the cancellation is the expected harsh weather conditions, which could pose a danger to the Wildcats while traveling, as a winter storm is forecasted to hit the upstate New York area tonight and continue until tomorrow.

MVB: Wildcats Beaten 3-0 by Lasell on the Road.
February 25, 2023AUBURNDALE, Mass. - SUNY Poly men’s volleyball lost to Lasell on Saturday 3-0. The first two sets were dominated by Lasell with scores of 25-19 and 25-8, respectively. In the third set, SUNY Poly put up a fight, but Lasell still won with a score of 25-22 to earn their 7th win of the season.

MVB: Wildcats Earn a Home Win Over FLCC.
February 18, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team beat Finger Lakes Community College 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats and the Lakers played four close sets. The Wildcats won the first and second 25-22 and 25-21 respectively. FLCC took the third set 25-23. Poly closed out the match in the fourth with a 25-20 win. The Wildcats are now 4-9 this season.

February 15, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team lost to the #8 ranked SUNY New Paltz Hawks on Wednesday night 3-1. The Wildcats won the first set 25-21 to take a 1-0 lead but were beaten in the next three sets 25-13, 25-22, and 25-12. The Wildcats are now 3-8 this season.

February 10, 2023ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team lost three matches this weekend at the Nazareth Invitational Tournament. The ‘Cats lost their second match of the weekend to #5 nationally ranked St. John Fisher and played two very tight five-set matches in their first and third contests of the weekend. The Wildcats are now 3-8 this season.

MVB: Wildcats Earn Third Win of the Season 3-1 Over Sage.
February 08, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team earned their third win of the season on Wednesday night 3-1 over the Russell Sage Gators (25-20, 25-15, 24-26, 25-12). The Wildcats were dominant in the second and fourth sets hitting .929 and .438 in those sets respectively. They also held a significant advantage on the block and on the serving line. SUNY Poly is now 3-5 this season.

MVB: Wildcats Defeat Wells in Straight Sets on the Road.
February 01, 2023AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team won convincingly on Wednesday night 3-0 over Wells College. The Wildcats won the sets 25-8, 25-18, 25-12 with an impressive team hitting percentage of .380 with 36 kills on 71 swings. They also had 12 service aces as a team. SUNY Poly is now 2-5 this season.

MVB: Wildcats Compete In Tri-Match with Elmira and Hilbert.
January 28, 2023HAMBURG, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team competed in a tri-match at Hilbert College on Saturday. The Wildcats played both Hilbert and Elmira. The Wildcats lost the first match with Hilbert 3-2 before losing to Elmira 3-0.

January 25, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball game against Sage College has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game was originally scheduled for a 7:00 PM start at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field House. No information on the rescheduling of this game is available at this time.

MVB: Wildcats Host 2023 SUNY Poly Invitational.
January 21, 2023UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team hosted their annual Invitational Tournament this weekend. The tournament featured eight teams from three different states and three teams that were featured in the top 15 of the AVCA DIII National Coaches Poll last week. The Tournament featured 16 matches over two days. The Wildcats went 1-3 with their first win of the young season coming in their game on Saturday against Misericordia. James Mion had a solid four games for the Wildcats, earning him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
