MVB: Wildcats Beaten in Four Sets By #8 SUNY New Paltz.

UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team lost to the #8 ranked SUNY New Paltz Hawks on Wednesday night 3-1.  The Wildcats won the first set 25-21 to take a 1-0 lead but were beaten in the next three sets 25-13, 25-22, and 25-12. The Wildcats are now 3-8 this season.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Jason Aubrey led the Wildcats with seven kills on 18 swings. He also had a service ace and a dig.
  • AJ Fitzgerald had a game-high 10 kills for New Paltz. He also had an ace and a pair of digs.
  • Nathan Farnham had 22 assists, a team-high four service aces, four digs, two solo blocks, and a pair of kills for SUNY Poly.
  • Kohei Clark, James Mion, and Peter Gottler each had six kills for the Wildcats. Mion had a game-high three solo blocks.
  • John Ronan had nine kills on 11 swings for New Paltz.
  • Pat Wing had a team-high four aces for the Hawks.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will host a tri-match on Saturday with FLCC and Wells College. The Wildcats will play Wells at 11:00 AM and FLCC at 3:00 PM. The matches will be streamed live on the SUNY Poly Sports Network (SPSN.
