MVB: Wildcats Beat Wells in Straight Sets.

AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team defeated Wells College in straight sets on Wednesday night in the non-conference matchup. The Wildcats dominated all three sets, winning 25-14, 25-16, and 25-17. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 3-5 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

The Wildcats took the opening point in each set on Wednesday and never looked back, maintaining a lead in all three sets and playing one of its cleanest matches of the season. Offensively, 8 Wildcats recorded a kill, and Joshua Slate and Thomas McNulty led the offense with assists. Peter Gottler had a team-high 8 digs, while James Mion had 3 solo blocks and two block assists. With the win, the Wildcats have now won 3 of their last 4 matches, and look to keep the momentum rolling into next week as they have games against Finger Lakes CC, Hilbert, and Trine.

The Wildcats will be back at home on Tuesday, February 6th as the host Finger Lakes CC. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
