GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – SUNY Institute of Technology Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) member Connor Passalacqua (Whitestown, N.Y.) received a big promotion this past week, as he was elected to serve as the National NCAA Division III SAAC representative for both the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) and partner conference North Atlantic Conference (NAC).

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Three SUNYIT Baseball players were selected to the NEAC All-Conference roster Thursday afternoon, as seniors Chandler Evans (New Hartford, N.Y. / New Hartford) and Daniel Wiecek (Fort Plain, N.Y. / Fort Plain) led the way in being named to the All-Conference First Team.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Baseball Team won in extra innings on Sunday, coming back twice in extra innings during the second game of a doubleheader with St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) to win 9-8 in 9 innings. SUNYIT sophomore Anthony Ragosta (Troy, N.Y. / Troy H.S.) ripped a walk-off base hit to win the game for the Wildcats in the 9th, scoring Joseph O’Rourke (Camden, N.Y. / Camden H.S.), who had a 2-RBI triple earlier in the inning to tie the game at 8-8.
LANCASTER, Pa. – The SUNYIT Men’s Baseball Team moved to 7-7 in conference with a pair of road victories Saturday. The Wildcats defeated the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College, 4-2 and 11-8 to move into a fourth-place tie with Penn St.-Berks in the conference standings.
MARCY, N.Y. - SUNYIT captain Chandler Evans (New Hartford, N.Y. / New Hartford) smacked an RBI-triple in the bottom of the 6th inning to break a 5-5 tie with Cazenovia on Saturday in game one of a conference doubleheader at Peter A. Spina Field. Starting pitcher Daniel Wiecek (Fort Plain, N.Y. / Fort Plain H.S.) then retired the side in order in the top of the 7th to hang on for the 6-5 win.

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – After a 6-1 loss in the morning, senior co-captain Joseph Szepessy (Athens, N.Y. / Coxsackie-Athens H.S.) threw a complete-game gem in the afternoon, going seven strong while allowing just 4 runs. It wasn’t enough, however, as the Wildcats could push just 2 past home plate, losing 4-2 to Dickinson College.
AUBURNDALE, Fla. – March 14, 2013 – The SUNYIT baseball team split a doubleheader with the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer at the Lake Myrtle baseball complex on Thursday afternoon. Colby-Sawyer won the first game 14-0, while SUNYIT took the second 9-4.
AUBURNDALE, FL – The SUNYIT Men’s Baseball struggled on Day Two of their spring training trip, falling to the Leopards of Wentworth Institute of Technology in both games of a doubleheader. SUNYIT was shutout in the first game 7-0, and fell in the second game 19-2.
WINTERHAVEN FL. – The SUNYIT Men’s baseball team traveled to Central Florida for their 10 game spring trip. The team opened up the trip with a double header against the Fitchburg State Falcons. The Wildcats split the series. They lost the first game 10-4 and won the second 7-3.
