GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Three SUNYIT Baseball players were selected to the NEAC All-Conference roster Thursday afternoon, as seniors Chandler Evans (New Hartford, N.Y. / New Hartford) and Daniel Wiecek (Fort Plain, N.Y. / Fort Plain) led the way in being named to the All-Conference First Team.
The first baseman Evans had a career year, finishing the season with a .396 batting average that placed him 4th in the conference, and an on-base percentage of .493, good for second in the NEAC.
Wiecek also saved his best for his senior season, leading the NEAC with a 2.01 ERA, while compiling a 5-2 record in 49 innings pitched.
Rounding out the All-Conference registry for SUNYIT was senior Devin Frye. The third baseman finished the season with a .315 batting average, good for second on the team, while batting a team-best .455 during NEAC conference games.
