LANCASTER, PA. - The SUNY Poly women’s cross country team is the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Champions for the first time in the history of the program. The Wildcats ran a fantastic race at Lancaster Bible on Saturday to take home the Championship.
CLINTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s cross country team placed fifth on Saturday in the Hamilton College Invitational. The ‘Cats were led by freshman runner Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) who ran the 6K in 20:52.8. The Wildcats had a team score of 168 and had four runners finish the race in under 25 minutes.
GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women’s Cross Country team came in 14th overall with a score of 424 points at the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 29th. SUNY Poly freshmen Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) finished first for the Wildcats in 44th with a time of 24:28.7.
UTICA, NY. – SUNY Poly ran away with second place as they hosted the Wildcat Classic on Saturday. Freshman Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, NY) and classmate Molly Burdick (Johnson City, NY) finished in the top 3 with times of 24:31 and 26:43 respectively.

The Wildcat’s Freshmen Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) scored the highest for the team taking fourth place with a time of 20:39.23.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s cross country team came in third place on Saturday with a score of 83 points at the Stephen A. Warde Invitational. SUNY Poly freshmen Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) finished first for the Wildcats in fourth place with a time of 20:39.23.
MARCY, N.Y. – SUNY Poly cross country hosted their annual SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational on Saturday. 10 women’s teams participated in the race, with 72 total runners finishing. A dry course and mild temperatures led to perfect running conditions for the 12th instalment of the Short Course Invitational, leading to a new course record being set by one runner.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has released the men’s and women’s cross country schedule for the 2018 season. The Wildcats will take part in nine races this season, two at home and seven on the road. The men's team, with a strong returning core, will be defending their record breaking fifth consecutive championship. The women's team will look to build onto a very successful 2017 campaign that saw them place fourth at the NEAC Championship last season.
