GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Four members of the SUNYIT Men’s Lacrosse Team were named to the NEAC All-Conference list on Wednesday. Leading the way was junior Brett Gifford (Cazenovia, N.Y. / Cazenovia), who was selected to the All-Conference 1st Team as a long-stick midfielder.
MARCY, N.Y. – The men’s lacrosse program’s impressive second-year campaign came to a heartbreaking close on Saturday. The team, which more than doubled its 2012 win total (the program’s inaugural season) with 5 victories this year, fell to Hilbert in sudden death overtime, 12-11.

AURORA, N.Y. – With the score tied 2-2 and 9:07 remaining in the first half of Saturday’s NEAC matchup between the visiting Wildcats (5-10, 4-2 NEAC) and the host team Wells Express (1-9, 0-4 NEAC), SUNYIT rattled off the next 5 goals on their way to a 14-6 road victory.
MARCY, N.Y. - Coming off a 4-game win streak, there wasn’t much the Wildcats could do against a strong Keuka team on Wednesday night. The NEAC-leading Storm showcased a host of talented attackers, jumping out to a 7-1 lead in the first quarter and taking an 11-3 lead into the half.

MARCY, N.Y. – Forty-eight hours after picking up their first win of the season, the SUNYIT Wildcats (2-9, 1-1 NEAC) made it a streak with a 9-5 victory over the visiting Cazenovia Wildcats (3-5, 1-2 NEAC). The Wildcats played a near-flawless game, taking a 6-0 lead in the first half and holding serve in the second half for the win.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men’s Lacrosse Team captured their first win of the season Monday night, executing a second-half comeback to clip the visiting Knights of Mount St. Mary, 11-7. After being down 5-4 at the half, the Wildcats roared back in the final 30 minutes, out scoring the Knights 7-2 to take their first victory.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men’s Lacrosse Team (0-9, 0-1 NEAC) suffered their most heartbreaking loss of the season on Saturday, losing on a last-second goal in double-overtime to the visiting SUNY-Canton Kangaroos (4-3). Garret DiTullio scored the game-winner for the Roos with 7 seconds left in the second overtime, as SUNY-Canton was able to overcome a 47-39 shot deficit and a 19-30 faceoff day by Wildcat midfielder Tyler Serva (Chenango Forks, N.Y. / Chenango Forks).
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men’s Lacrosse Team (0-8, 0-1 NEAC) fell to conference foe Morrisville State on Wednesday afternoon, 16-4. The Wildcats have been battling injuries all season, and Wednesday was no different as the Mustangs barred the gate at home.

WINCHESTER, V.A. – The SUNYIT Men’s Lacrosse Team (0-5, 0-0 NEAC) fell at the hands of the Shenandoah Hornets over the weekend, 18-4. SUNYIT continues to challenge itself with tough opponents in the non-conference portion of its season, facing off against a 4-1 Shenandoah team that competes in the super-competitive Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
MARCY, N.Y. – The Wildcats (0-4) looked poised to grab their first win of the season Thursday night, heading into the fourth period knotted at 4-4 with the visiting Mitchell College Mariners (2-1). But after matching and even outplaying their opponents for three solid quarters, the Wildcats watched as the visitors exploded for four goals in the final period, taking the game by a score of 8 to 4.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men’s Lacrosse Team (0-3, 0-0 NEAC) lost at home Tuesday night to the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan College (2-2) by a score of 18-2. The Wildcats kept it close through the first period, but ultimately were no match for the Division II Redhawks.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men’s Lacrosse Team (0-2, 0-0 NEAC) fell to the Pioneers of Utica College (1-0) by a score of 21-2 Wednesday night. The game marked the Wildcats’ first home game of the season, and the Pioneers first game overall.
