SUNYIT Drops First Conference Game at Morrisville, 16-4

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men's Lacrosse Team (0-8, 0-1 NEAC) fell to conference foe Morrisville State on Wednesday afternoon, 16-4. The Wildcats have been battling injuries all season, and Wednesday was no different as the Mustangs barred the gate at home.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the first quarter thanks to two goals each by Jeremy Beresovoy and Louie Geswaldo.

Keeping SUNYIT in the mix early was Denver Babowicz (Marcy, N.Y. / Holland Patent). The junior scored both of SUNYIT's goals in the first quarter.

For the Wildcats, Kevin Gardrvits (Glen Cove, N.Y. / Glen Cove) would add two goals in the third quarter, but it was not enough as the Mustangs as Beresovoy and Geswaldo kept the heat on, each finishing with 4 scores on the day.

The Wildcats will hope for better luck at home, as they take on SUNY Canton in their next match up. Game time is set for 1:00 pm this Saturday, March 30th.
