GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has selected its 2018 Women’s Soccer All-Conference Team with 33 student-athletes receiving the league’s top honors. SUNY Poly’s Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y.) was the lone Wildcat to receive the All-Conference nod.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s soccer team fell to SUNY Delhi on Tuesday at home in a non-conference game. The SUNY Delhi Broncos jumped out to an early lead on a goal in the 14th minute. They struck again in the 54th minute to take a 2-0 lead. The Wildcats made a push down the stretch, scoring in the 73rd minute to make it a 2-1 game, but were unable to tie it up down the stretch. The final score was 2-1.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women’s soccer team hosted cross town rival Utica College on Thursday night at SUNY Poly’s Wildcat Field. The game did not go SUNY Poly’s way as they were shut out 4-0 in regulation. The Wildcats managed just three shots on goal in the game while Utica put 20 of 34 shots taken on goal. SUNY Poly is now 1-13-1 on the year.
ALBANY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Women’s Soccer team dropped a non-conference game to Sage College on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell behind early, allowing four goals before the half. SUNY Poly could not recover and would lose the game by a final score of 7-1.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women’s soccer team fell to the Bison of Gallaudet University 2-1 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game. The Wildcats took an early lead in the game, but allowed two goals in the second half allowing the Bison to earn the win, improving to 5-6 (3-4 NEAC) this season. The loss for the Wildcats brings their season record to 1-9-1.
ONEONTA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s soccer team lost to Oneonta 5-0 on Tuesday in a non-conference game. The game was tight through one half of play with the Red Dragons leading by just one goal. Oneonta put their foot on the gas in the second half, scoring four goals to put the game away.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s soccer team lost their second North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game of the season on Saturday at home. SUNY Poly and Cazenovia played a clean first half where neither team could find the net, but that all changed in the second half. Cazenovia scored three goals in 10 minutes to take a commanding 3-0 lead that would hold out for the duration of the game.
MARCY, N.Y. - The Wildcat women’s soccer team cruised to their first win of the season on Saturday in a 6-1 win over the Wells College Express. Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y.) had a huge day for the ‘Cats in the win and two players scored their first goals of the season. The Wildcats record is now 1-2-1 in 2018.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Wildcats were shut out on the road on Saturday in a closely contested, hard fought matchup with the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats. The lone goal of the game was scored in the 64th minute for the Bobcats. The Wildcats are now 0-1-1 on the season.
MANCHESTER, VT. – The SUNY Poly women’s soccer team opened up their season on Friday night with a 3-3 draw. The Wildcats and the Mountaineers of Southern Vermont battled it out for 110 minutes with neither team getting an edge over the other.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has released the 2018 schedule for the Wildcat women’s soccer team. This year’s schedule features 19 games; seven at home and 12 on the road. The Wildcats open play on the road at Southern Vermont on August 31st at 7:00 PM. The team’s first home game will be against NEAC foe Wells on September 15th at 12:00 PM at SUNY Poly’s Wildcat Field.
