LANCASTER, PA. - The SUNY Poly men's cross country team competed at the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship race on Saturday at Lancaster Bible. The Wildcats came extremely close to a sixth NEAC Championship win, but fell just six points shy of host Lancaster Bible who recorded 44 points.
CLINTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's cross country team placed fifth on Saturday in the Hamilton College Invitational. Noah Valvo who ran the 8K in 28:46.7 led SUNY Poly. The Wildcats had a team score of 124 and had all five of their placing runners finish in the top 50.
LANCASTER, P.A. -The SUNY Poly Men’s Cross Country team came in 11th place overall with a score of 306 points at the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 29. SUNY Poly’s Noah Valvo continues to lead the pack for SUNY Poly as he finished first for the Wildcats in 40th place overall.
UTICA, NY. – The Wildcats earned themselves a first place finish in SUNY Poly's 6th Annual Wildcat Classic on Saturday. They locked down the top seven spots with Noah Valvo (Town of Wright, N.Y.), Derek Smith (Greece, N.Y.), Jonathan Miller (Oneonta, N.Y.), Ian Kurzrock (Woodbourne, N.Y.), Garrett Jones (New Hartford, N.Y.), Jesse Chain (Campbell Hall, N.Y.), and Christopher Bouchard (Latham, N.Y.) finishing 1st through 7th respectively.
LANCASTER PA. - The SUNY Poly men's cross country team came in first overall with a score of 56 points at Lancaster Bible’s 2018 Charger Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15th. The Wildcats finished six runners in the top-25 to take first place in the race narrowly over host Lancaster Bible who had 58 points.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s cross country team came in first overall with a score of 32 points at the Stephen A. Warde Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 8. The Wildcats had six top ten finishers helping to secure the win.
MARCY, N.Y. – SUNY Poly cross country hosted their annual SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational on Saturday. 11 men’s teams participated in the race, with 110 total runners finishing. A dry course and mild temperatures led to perfect running conditions for the 12th instalment of the Short Course Invitational, leading to a new course record being set by one runner.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has released the men’s and women’s cross country schedule for the 2018 season. The Wildcats will take part in nine races this season, two at home and seven on the road. The men's team, with a strong returning core, will be defending their record breaking fifth consecutive championship. The women's team will look to build onto a very successful 2017 campaign that saw them place fourth at the NEAC Championship last season.
