MCC: Wildcats Finish Second at NEAC Championship.

LANCASTER, PA. - The SUNY Poly men's cross country team competed at the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship race on Saturday at Lancaster Bible. The Wildcats came extremely close to a sixth NEAC Championship win, but fell just six points shy of host Lancaster Bible who recorded 44 points.  

 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Wildcats scored 50 points placing their top five runners in eighth, ninth, 10th, 11th, and 12th place.
  • Noah Valvo led the pack of Wildcats with a time of 27:25.4.
  • Ian Kurzrock finished second for the Wildcats with a time of 27:29.3.
  • Christopher Bouchard, Jonathon Miller, and Garrett Jones. Rounded out the scoring for SUNY Poly.
  • The Wildcats top six finishers all finished the 8K race under 28 minutes.
  • Lancaster Bible had the top two finishers in the race helping them to secure the win. Abenezer Abebe won the race finishing the 8K in 25:55.5.
  • The Wildcats nearly swept the NEAC All-Conference 2nd Team Selections. Six of the seven runners selected for the 2nd team were from SUNY Poly. See the list below for the All-Conference Selections.
