WSOC: Wildcats Shut Out Trailblazers at Home.

Utica, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team secured another home victory with a 2-0 win over the MCLA Trailblazers. The Wildcats showcased their offensive prowess with 14 shots, and goals from defender Madison Altamura and forward Kate Donnelly. This win improves SUNY Poly's record to 3-1 for the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

The Wildcats wasted no time in the first half, as Madison Altamura scored within the first seven minutes. Despite a few more chances before halftime, both teams' defenses held strong, maintaining a 1-0 scoreline at the break.

SUNY Poly continued their aggressive play in the second half, as Kate Donnelly would extend the lead in the 49th minute, finishing off a pass from Brooke Bush. The Wildcats would continue to press on, firing off 10 additional shots while their defense stood strong, limiting MCLA to just two shots. The final whistle confirmed a solid 2-0 victory for SUNY Poly.

The Wildcats will take a week off before hosting the Bryant and Stratton Bobcats on Saturday, September 14th. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM.
