After a thrilling overtime victory on Saturday afternoon, the SUNY Poly Women's Lacrosse Team (11-3, 8-1 NEAC) found themselves in a three-way tie for first place in the NEAC Conference. The Wildcats shared the top with Cazenovia College (10-5, 8-1 NEAC) and Morrisville St. (9-8, 8-1 NEAC). The seeding for the tournament was decided after diving deep into the conference tiebreaking procedures.

First place came down to the third-tie breaker after the first two left all three teams even. Cazenovia held the advantage in goals allowed against fourth place Medaille, which left them in sole possession of first. The determination for second place came on the head-to-head result between SUNY Poly and Morrisville. The Mustangs got the better of the Wildcats on Friday, leaving them in second place and SUNY Poly in third.

The rest of the five-team field was determined as well, with Medaille in sole possession of fourth place. Lancaster Bible was tied for fifth place with Keuka College, but held the advantage in the head-to-head matchup to give them the final slot in the tournament.

Medaille (9-6, 5-4 NEAC) and Lancaster Bible (8-8, 4-5 NEAC) will face off on Tuesday, May 3rd at Medaille for the right to advance to Saturday and play host Cazenvoia at 11:30.

SUNY Poly and Morrisville will face off for the second time in as many weekends on Saturday, May 7th at 2:00. The Wildcats enter the tournament with their highest seeding in program history in hopes to take down the defending champions in the semi-finals at Caz.

The championship game will be played on Sunday, May 8th at 1:00.

SUNY Poly is looking to claim their first NEAC Tournament title after coming off their best regular season in program history. The Wildcats set a program-best in wins, besting last year's record of nine, en route to their most successful season in conference play as well. SUNY Poly finishes top in the conference in goals per game, assists, caused turnovers, goals against, and goals against average.

Guiding the team's success was the outstanding performances and record-breaking seasons of many individuals. This year's team saw multiple players score their 100th point, one score their 100th goal, and a plethora of broken records. Those records included the single season assist record, the single season caused turnover record, and the career GAA record among others.
