Utica, NY - The North Atlantic Conference has announced the Baseball All-Conference Award winners for the 2023 season. The awards are nominated and voted on by the coaches of the NAC and consist of five individual awards, two All-Conference Teams for each division, and a nine-player Sportsmanship Team. Nine Wildcats were named to the All-Conference team, including Trinity Critelli, Kimberly Birmingham, Amy DeSena, Ava Faragon, Alivia Turk, Jadyn Childers, Joy Stevens and Taylor Hunter. Ariel Bell was selected to the Sportsmanship team.
Bangor, ME - The Suny Poly softball team was defeated by Husson University in the NAC championship game by a score of 4-3. All of the Wildcats' runs came in the sixth inning, thanks to an RBI single from Kimberly Birmingham followed by a two-run double from Jadyn Childers. Trinity Critelli pitched the entire game, finishing with eight strikeouts. The Wildcats finished their strong 2024 campaign with a record of 26-10.
Bangor, ME - The SUNY Poly softball team split day two of the NAC Tournament, dropping the first game to Husson University 12-1 and winning the second game against Thomas College 10-9. The win against the Terriers gives the Wildcats a spot in the NAC Championship game, where they will once again face the Husson Eagles
Bangor, ME - The SUNY Poly women’s softball team took care of business against the Thomas Terriers in game one of the NAC tournament. Star pitcher, Trinity Critelli, led the way on the mound, only allowing one hit and striking out 11 over seven innings. At the plate, the wildcats were carried by Alivia Turk and Kimberly Birmingham who both drove in three runs. SUNY Poly would win the game by a score of 6-0.
Utica, NY - Following a strong 2024 campaign, the 24-8 Wildcats are getting ready to head to Maine for this year's NAC Championship tournament. The Wildcats put together a strong season, in which they went 14-1 in conference play. The Wildcats led the conference in multiple stats, including batting average (.381), ERA (1.71), Opponent batting average (.203) and fewest earned runs allowed (42). The Wildcats are returning to the playoffs for the second time in as many years, following last year's efforts that saw them fall just short of the championship.
Utica, N.Y - The SUNY Poly softball Team swept a three game series against conference foe SUNY Morrisville, ending all games in five innings. Backed by stellar pitching, the Wildcats offense was once again rolling, scoring 33 runs over 15 innings. Two Wildcats hit career milestones, beginning in game one when Trinity Critelli became the first Wildcat in SUNY Poly Softball history to reach 500 strikeouts, followed by Amy DeSena reaching 100 career hits. The wins push the Wildcats to 22-8 on the season.
Clinton, N.Y - The SUNY Poly women’s softball team picked up another three wins, thanks to some hot bats and stellar pitching. In three games against the SUNY Canton Kangaroos, SUNY Poly scored a total of 47 runs, while only giving up 12. The wins give the Wildcats a 16-4 record on the season, as well as pushes their win streak to six games.
Syracuse, N.Y - The SUNY Poly Softball team dominated the Vermont State Johnson Badgers over a three game series. Thanks to some hot bats and stellar pitching, the Wildcats ended all three games in five innings. The trio of wins pushes the Wildcats to 13-4 on the season.
Canton, N.Y - The SUNY Poly women’s softball team dropped two close games to the St. Lawrence Saints. Trinity Critelli took the mound in the first game, allowing six runs on 10 hits. The Wildcats struggled to find a big hit, as they left seven runners on base. In game two, Wildcats Joy Stevens was on the bump, where she allowed two runs on 12 hits. SUNY Poly would lead for much of the game, until the bottom of the 8th inning, when the Saints would walk it off on an error. The Wildcats are now 10-4 on the season.
Delhi, N.Y. - The Wildcats finished a three game sweep of the SUNY Delhi Broncos over the weekend. The Wildcats finished two of the three games in five innings. SUNY Poly’s all-time strikeout leader Trinity Critelli was on the mound for two of the games, combining for 12 innings pitched and 20 strikeouts. Critelli was also credited with a no-hitter in game one. Joy Stevens pitched game two, finishing with five strikeouts over five innings pitched. The Wildcats are now 10-2 on the season.
North Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The SUNY Poly softball team picked up two wins on day 4 of the FastPitch Dreams Classic, ending both games in 5 innings. In game one, the Wildcats defeated SUNY Delhi 9-0. In the second game of the day, the Wildcats beat Mt. St. Vincent 11-2. SUNY Poly is now 7-1 on the season.
