MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team beat Wells College on Wednesday 3-0. The Wildcats hit .314 as a team in the match with 38 kills and 11 service aces. The win brings the Wildcat's record to 4-10 this season.
SUNY Poly jumped out to a fast start, dominating in the first set to earn a decisive 25-16 win thanks in large part to a 300 point hitting percentage advantage (.037-.368). In the second set, the Wildcats got down 6-0 early, but got back into the match late to earn a tight 25-23 win in the second. The third set was played well by both teams, but hitting efficiency was on Poly's side. They won the third set 25-19 to earn the sweep.

Jason Aubrey had a team-high 11 kills for SUNY Poly. Aubrey also had a pair of service aces and five digs.

Matthew Russo had eight kills, three service aces, and three digs for the Wildcats.

Tayvon Ward had seven kills on 12 swings. He hit .417 in the match and had a pair of block assists.

James Mion hit .455 with six kills on 11 swings. He had a match-high four service aces and a pair of block assists.

Nathan Farnham had 32 assists and six digs for the Wildcats.
