MVB: Wildcats Wrap-Up Weekend Homestand With a Three Set Conference Win Over Wilson.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win of the season on Sunday over Wilson College 3-0. The Wildcats Dominated the match, hitting .412 as a team. The set scores of the match were 25-17, 25-14, 25-7. The Wildcats improved their season record to 5-9 with a 1-3 record in NEAC play.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Connor Schultz (Lancaster, N.Y.) had a match-high 13 kills for the Wildcats. The senior also had four service aces and a dig in the match. He hit .429 on 21 swings.
  • Garrett Hassard (Oneonta, N.Y.) had nine kills on 17 swings for the Wildcats. He had a career-high seven service aces in the match nearly doubling his former match-high of four. Hassard also a solo block and a pair of block assists.
  • Nathan Farnham (Penfield, N.Y.) had 30 assists, four kills, and three digs in the match.
  • Ian Firestone had a team-high five kills for the Wilson College Phoenix. He also had eight assists and three digs.
  • Dan Perry had a team-high five digs for Wilson.

 

UP  NEXT:

The Wildcats will head to Kean College for a Tri-Match on Sunday, February 23rd. The Wildcats will take on Misericordia in the 2:00 PM match and the host Kean in the 4:00 PM match.
