MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team hosted #4 New Paltz on Saturday at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field House. The Wildcats lost to the Hawks 0-3 but did a good job hanging with their nationally ranked opponent. The final scores were 19-25, 16-25, 28-30.

Max Szuba (Irondequoit, N.Y.) was the Wildcats kill leader in the game with seven. The sophomore hit .286 on 14 swings, had a service ace, and two digs.

Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) had the lone block in the match for the Wildcats. The solo block was accompanied on the stat sheet by 13 assists, a dig, and three kills.

For the Hawks, Aaron Clark had a match high 12 kills. Clark also had a service ace, a solo block, a block assist, and a dig. Jake Roessler had eight kills, hitting a match high .727 on 11 swings.

The Wildcats are now 7-9 on the year. The team will be back in action on Friday when they will host St. Joes (LI). The match is scheduled for a 5:00 start.
