WVB: Wildcats Fall to MCLA in Non-Conference Play.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team faced a tough challenge on the road against MCLA and ultimately fell in straight sets, with MCLA taking the match 3-0. The Wildcats put up a solid effort but couldn't secure the victory, bringing their season record to 0-7.

 

The first set saw MCLA jump out to an early lead, eventually taking it 25-16. In the second set, the Wildcats fought to narrow the gap but couldn't overcome MCLA's offense, with the score ending 25-13 in favor of MCLA. The third and final set was closely contested, but MCLA managed to secure the win with a score of 25-23.

 

Ryan Fitzgerald led the Wildcats scoring with three kills and five aces. Samantha Dee had five kills and a pair of aces. Brennah Durfee and Rylie Reynolds also had solid performances, each recording three kills during the match. Grace Southwick delivered 11 assists and a pair of kills.

 

On the opposing side, Anais Badio led MCLA with an impressive ten kills, while Chloie Garber's seven aces and Shannon O'Brien's 14 assists played crucial roles in MCLA's victory.

The Wildcats will host a doubleheader with Old Westbury on Saturday, September 23rd. The first match is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
