WVB: Wildcats Fall in Straight Sets at Utica University.

UTICA, N.Y. -  In a women's volleyball clash at Utica's Clark Athletic Center on Wednesday night, SUNY Poly faced a tough defeat at the hands of Utica University, with Utica securing a straight-set victory (25-6, 25-6, 25-18).

Utica's offense was led by Meghan Brennan, who delivered an impressive performance with a match-high six kills. Eleanor Cepiel, Peyton Migliaccio, and Lauren Jones contributed significantly with five kills each. The Utica attack proved too formidable for SUNY Poly to handle.

SUNY Poly faced difficulties throughout the match, with their attack and serve receiving percentages reflecting a challenging outing. Grace Southwick led the Wildcats with four kills. Ryan Fitzgerald and Brennah Durfee secured a couple of kills each, but the team struggled with a cumulative hitting percentage of -0.133.

Utica College maintained control from the outset, securing each set convincingly. The solid play of Utica, particularly in the first two sets, left SUNY Poly with limited opportunities to respond.
