WVB: Wildcats Downed By Wells on the Road 3-0

 

AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team was beaten by the Wells College Express on Friday night 3-0 (23-25, 11-25, 19-25) in non-conference play. The Wildcats played their best set in the first, hitting .100 as a team, but lost the three sets thanks in large part to the serving of Wells who had 15 service aces in the three-setter. The Wildcats are now 0-12 this season.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

·         Ryan Fitzgerald had a team-high six kills on a match-high 25 swings. She also had nine digs.

·         Michaela Bradshaw had nine digs for the Wildcats. She also had a match-high 14 assists and a pair of kills.  

·         Emma draper had five kills on 13 swings. She also had two aces, two digs, and a block assist for SUNY Poly.

·         Wells' Miah Williamson had a team-high six kills on 21 swings. She also had four aces and a pair of block assists.

·         Caroline Barr had a match-high eight service aces for Wells.

·         Roosa Armstead-Lehti had a match-high 15 digs for the Express.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will travel to Keuka Park on Saturday to take part in a tri-match with Keuka and Hilbert. The Wildcats will play Hilbert at 1:00 PM and will play Keuka at 3:00 PM.
