MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball lost to Utica on Wednesday night at home 3-1. Utica won the first, second, and fourth convincingly, but the Wildcats won the third set 25-21. The Wildcats are now 0-13 this season.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Eleanor Cepiel had a match-high 17 kills on 41 swings for Utica. She also had 13 digs and an ace.
- Ryan Fitzgerald had a team-high 11 kills for the Wildcats. She also had a team-high four aces, nine digs, and a block assist.
- Sabrina Trimblett had five kills on 16 swings for SUNY Poly.
- Molly Burdick had five kills and a match-high three block assists for the Wildcats.
- Meghan Peek had a match-high 16 digs for Poly.
- Madison Maggiore had a match-high 34 assists for the Pioneers.
- Utica's McKenna LaPorte had a match-high six aces in the match. She also had nine digs.
UP NEXT:
The Wildcats will kick off a stretch of six straight road games on Friday with a non-conference match at Wells College. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
