WVB: Wildcats Swept by Union on the Road.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team lost to the Union Dutchwomen on Tuesday in straight sets 25-16, 25-11, 25-22. The Wildcats are now 1-3 this season.

 

A solid hitting percentage advantage for Union was the difference-maker in the match. The Wildcats hit -.043 while Union hit .216. The Wildcats had three players with multiple kills and managed just two service aces to the Dutchwomen's 10. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Sabrina Trimblett led the wildcats with five kills and an ace. 

  • Emma Draper and Ryan Fitzgerald each had four kills for the Wildcats. Fitzgerald also had seven digs.

  • Sydney Pellman led the Wildcats with 13 digs. 

  • Keara Page and Sofia Barth each had seven kills for Union in the match.

  • Olivia Salvador had a match-high three service aces.

  • Meredith Blinn had a team-high 13 digs for Union. 

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will head to Buffalo for a tri-match against Medaille and Buffalo State. Medaille will host the tri-match. The Wildcats will play at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
