WVB: SUNY Poly Falls to Wells in Five Sets

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Wells College in five sets on Thursday evening (25-21, 22-25, 19-25, 25-22, 10-15). The Wildcats move to 6-10 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

 

NOTABLES:

 

  • Makayla Hulett (Colonie, N.Y.) set a new career high with 19 kills in the match.
  • Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) recorded 16 kills, 19 digs, three service aces, and a solo block.
  • Emma Draper (North Chili, N.Y.) also set a new career high with 11 kills on the evening.
  • Shannon McIntyre (New Berlin, N.Y.) led SUNY Poly with 25 digs in the match. She also had a service ace.
  • Kaley Pichura (Syracuse, N.Y.) had a season-high five service aces to go along with 47 assists, 16 digs, and two kills.
  • Jackie Allen led the way for Wells College with a match-high 29 kills.

The Wildcats will travel to Lancaster, P.A. for two NEAC matches on Saturday, October 12th. In the first match of the day, SUNY Poly will face Gallaudet at 10:00AM, immediately followed by a match against Lancaster Bible.
