WILLIAMSPORT, PA. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer season came to an end on Tuesday in the Quarterfinal Round of the NEAC Championship Tournament. The Wildcat loss came at the hands of Penn College, the #4 seedin the NEAC Playoffs. Penn College and Poly played a closely matched first half which ended 1-1. The second half was all Penn College as they added three goals to their score while holding SUNY Poly scoreless.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Wildcats struck first in the game on a Sarah George (Dolgeville, N.Y.) goal in the 23rd minute. That goal would be the only one for the Wildcats who were shut down for the last 67 minutes of the game. Penn College tied the game up in the first half with a goal in the 30th minute. They took the lead in the 52nd minute and added two insurance goals in the 64th and 71st. The Wildcats finished the 2019 season with a 7-10 record and a 6-6 record in NEAC play.

NOTABLES:

• Sarah George scored her 11th goal of the season in the 23rd minute. She finished the season with 26 points.
• Felicia Bianca (Guilderland, N.Y.) was tagged with the loss in goal. She made seven saves in 79 minutes of play.
• Penn College's four goals were scored by four different players.
• Morgan Brooks had a game-high three points on a goal and an assist for Penn College.
• Sloane Tressler had a game-high two assists.
