MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team picked up a crucial overtime win against Morrisville this past weekend defeating the Mustangs 2-1. The Wildcats scored early in the second half and then again early in the second period of overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Mustangs came out of the gate hot, scoring within the first two minutes of the game. It took the Wildcats until the second half to get on track. Shannon Harrison (Holland Patent, N.Y.) scored off a rebound from her own shot to even the score in the 49th minute. The game would go back and forth forcing two overtimes, but Harrison would strike again in the 102nd minute, beating the keeper near post to win the game.

NOTES:

  • With her two goals, Harrison now has nine goals on the season. She is tied for 3rd in goals for the NEAC thus far.
