WSOC: Wildcats Win in an Overtime Thriller.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team won an overtime thriller on Wednesday night 2-1 over NEAC foe Cobleskill. The win improved the Wildcats to 2-2-1 overall with a 2-1-0 NEAC record.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cobleskill Fighting Tigers struck first in the game on a goal by Chloe Antalek in the 12th minute. Cobleskill would hold on to that one goal advantage late into the game. With the pressure on and less than three minutes left in regulation, SUNY Poly's Shannon Harrison (Holland Patent, N.Y.) tied the game on an unbelievable goal off a deep free-kick that beat the goalkeeper high. The goal forced the game into overtime where the Wildcats would strike quick, just three minutes in. Shannon Harrison started the scoring opportunity, serving up a ball to the box, finding Sarah George (Dolgeville, N.Y.) near the middle. George settled the pass, turned and fired off a left-footed shot to the top right corner for the game-winner.
