MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team tied Albany Pharmacy on Wednesday night in an exciting 2-2 game at Wildcat Field. The Wildcats are now 8-8-1 all-time against the Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Wildcats got out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal in the 14th minute from junior Sarah George (Dolgeville, N.Y.). Albany Pharmacy would tie the game and take the lead on two goals by Mayle Lupia-Eannace in an eight-minute span late in the second half. With the pressure on, SUNY Poly would answer the call with just under four minutes left in regulation. The game-tying goal was scored by Chloe Smith (Newport, N.Y.) who gathered up a rebound on a saved shot off the foot of Elizabeth Lawrence (Boonville, N.Y.) to force overtime. The Wildcats had some great opportunities in overtime to walk it off, but a fantastic pair of saves by Albany Pharmacy goalkeeper Gabriel Evangelista kept the game knotted at two.
