WSOC: Wildcats Beaten by Delhi in the Final Home Game of the Season.

MARCY, N.Y. -  The SUNY Poly women's soccer team fell to SUNY Delhi on Tuesday at home in a non-conference game. The SUNY Delhi Broncos jumped out to an early lead on a goal in the 14th minute. They struck again in the 54th minute to take a 2-0 lead. The Wildcats made a push down the stretch, scoring in the 73rd minute to make it a 2-1 game, but were unable to tie it up down the stretch. The final score was 2-1.

 

NOTABLES:

  • The Wildcats lone goal was scored by Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y.). The senior now has 28 points this season on 14 goals. She has a program best 114 points in her career.
  • Alysia Thomas (Greenville, N.Y.) made seven saves in the game. She now has 107 saves this season.
  • Kelsey Innes scored both goals for Delhi. Her first goal was assisted by Katie Herba. Her second goal was assisted by Devin Baratto.
  • Rachel Scoones earned the win in goal for the Broncos. She made three saves.

The Wildcats will wrap up their 2018 campaign with a NEAC game on Saturday, October 27th at Morrisville. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 PM start.
