Krysta Beha Earns 2nd NEAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week Award

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – SUNYIT freshman Krysta Beha (Marcy, N.Y. / Whitesboro) has been chosen as the NEAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the second time already this season, after an outstanding week for the Wildcats. The freshman midfielder led the Wildcats to a pair of conference wins behind 16 points on 13 goals and three assists while also scooping up 19 groundballs and winning 12 draw controls.  After tying the program record for goals in a game earlier this season, Beha broke that mark with 10 goals in a 16-4 win over Saint Elizabeth Saturday, where she also compiled match bests of two assists, 10 groundballs and four draw controls.  She followed that up with three goals and an assist along with game highs of nine groundballs and eight draw controls in a 19-5 win over Penn State Abington Sunday, keeping the Wildcats undefeated at 5-0 on the year and giving them their best start in program history. Beha has now won a NEAC-most 38 draw controls while scoring the second most goals with 31.
