Lady Wildcat Amanda Bohne Named NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - Amanda Bohne (Clay, N.Y., Cicero-North Syracuse) has been named the NEAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week after her clutch play for the SUNY Institute of Technology Wildcats. The junior midfielder led the Wildcats to a 2-1 week with 13 points on nine goals and four assists in addition to 11 groundballs, five draw controls and two caused turnovers while having just one turnover herself.

Twelve of Bohne's points came during a pair of conference victories, including five goals in a thrilling 11-10 double overtime victory over Lancaster Bible College Friday in which she scored the game-tying goal with nine seconds left before putting home the game-winner in the second extra frame.  She also finished the day with game highs of five groundballs and four draw controls.  The very next day, Bohne went out and posted game highs of four goals, three assists and four groundballs in a win over Wilson College, placing the Wildcats at 3-1 in NEAC play on the year.
