WBB: Burdick and Jackson Voted to NAC First-Team. Bell to Sportsmanship Team.

WATERVILLE, Maine - The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced the 2021-22 Women's Basketball All-Conference Awards on Thursday night. The Wildcats were well represented with two first-team selections and a representative on the Sportsmanship Team. The recipients were voted on and selected by the head coaches of the NAC.

Wildcat standouts Molly Burdick and Lyrik Jackson were both voted to the NAC First-Team by the coaches of the NAC

Molly Burdick finished the regular season ranked third in points per game, second in rebounds per game, and eighth in assists per game. The selection was her third consecutive First-Team selection as a Wildcat. 

Lyrik Jackson had a great first season for the Wildcats. Jackson led the NAC in scoring in conference play with 21.1 ppg, was fourth in free throw percentage, and was fifth in assists.  

Ariel Bell was named the Wildcats representative on the NAC Sportsmanship team 

The Wildcats season will continue this weekend when they will host the NAC West Division Quarterfinal and Semifinal rounds at the Campus Center Gym. The #1 seeded Wildcats will face #5 Cazenovia at 5:30 PM on Friday, February 18th.  The winner of the game will advance to the NAC Semifinal on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
