CANTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team won big in their first-ever North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game against SUNY Canton. The Wildcats overmatched the Kangaroos right from the jump, getting out to a 20-3 lead in the first quarter. The Wildcats are now 4-2 this season.
A FAST START:
The Wildcats started the game with a 13-0 run, leading to a 20-3 lead in the first quarter. Molly Burdick led the charge in the big first quarter with 10 points. She was a perfect 3-3 from the field and knocked down all of her four free throws in the quarter. The Wildcat defense held the roos to 1-13 shooting from the field and dominated on the glass, outrebounding the Roos 13-3. The Wildcats also had a significant
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

Molly Burdick had a fantastic game. The junior had a 25 point 15 rebound double-double with four steals and two blocks.

Kierra Connor had 13 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double.

Lauren Denny scored 12 points and had a game-high six assists.

Alexandra DeBeatham had 11 points, three steals, and an assist.

Shanelle Borth had a team-high eight points for SUNY Canton.

Samantha Dayter and Seattle Lettau each scored seven points for the Roos.
