WBB: Washington Scores Her 1,000th Point in Wildcat Win Over Penn College.

WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team won their thirteenth conference game of the season on the road at Penn College. Poly came out of the gate hot starting the game with a 10-2 run and went into the locker room with a 39-25 advantage. They would continue their success in the third quarter outscoring Penn College 22-12. In the end, SUNY Poly would take the game 71-53.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • The Wildcats were led by Jadia Washington (Elmira, N.Y.) also had a 12 point game. Washington also had five boards, two assists, and two steals. Washington scored her 1,000th combined career point in the game. She scored 636 points in two seasons at Tompkins Cortland Community College and now has 369 points for the Wildcats in 31 games played. 
  • Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) had 15 points, five steals, three rebounds, and two assists.
  • Molly Burdick (Johnson City, N.Y.) was a rebound short of a double-double scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds. She also had three steals, a pair of blocks, and an assist.
  • Madison Klock was the team-high scorer for Penn College with 12 points. She also added 4 rebounds, 5 steals, and an assist.
  • Tori Wolfe led Penn College on the glass with a game-high 16 rebounds. She also 8 points, with a pair of both steals and assists.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will end the regular season on a three-game homestand starting on Wednesday, February 19th against Wells College. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM tip-off.
