WBB: Wildcat Win Streak Extended to Nine Games With Win Over Morrisville State.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team won their ninth consecutive game and 10th North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Wednesday 78-43 over Morrisville State. The Wildcat defense held the Mustangs to 22% shooting from the floor and 18% from three-point range in the game, holding all but one Morrisville player to single-digit scoring totals. The Wildcats are now 12-7 this season with a 10-0 record in NEAC play.

 

NOTABLES:

  • Jaida Washington (Elmira, N.Y.) recorded her fourth double-double of the season with a game-high 19 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Washington also had three blocks, an assist, and a steal.
  • Molly Burdick (Johnson City, N.Y.) also had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. It was her seventh double-double of the season. She also had two steals, a block, and an assist.
  • Taylor-Ann Day (Brooktondale, N.Y.) was a rebound short of a double-double for the Wildcats. She scored 12 points and had nine rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench for the Wildcats.
  • Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) had a game-high five assists, eight points, five rebounds, and two steals.
  • Alexis Campbell had a team-high 10 points for the Mustangs. She also had three rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

The Wildcats will host Cobleskill State on Saturday, February 8th at SUNY Poly's Campus Center Gym. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 3:00 PM.
