WBB: Wildcats Stay Undefeated in NEAC with Win at Keuka

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team won their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game over the Keuka College Wolves on Wednesday. The win puts them at 12-0 in conference play. The Wildcats got off to a hot start leading at the end of the first quarter 19-9. Keuka came back to tie the game 27-27 going into the half. In the second half, the Wildcats came out and ran away with the game outscoring the Wolves 46-21 to win by 25. The final score was 73-48.

 

NOTABLES:

  • Molly Burdick (Johnson City, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats with 24 points. She also totaled eight boards, three assists, and three steals.
  • Jaida Washington (Elmira, N.Y.) contributed 10 points, nine rebounds, three steals, a pair of blocks, and an assist.
  • Taylor Ann Day (Brooktondale, N.Y.) had a season-high 12 rebounds for the Wildcats. She also had six points and a steal.
  • Sam Laranjo led the Wolves with 11 points off the bench. She also added four assists, three rebounds, and a steal.
  • Riley Record led the Wolves with seven rebounds. She also scored seven points while adding a pair of both steals and assists.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will head to Penn College on Saturday, February 15th. The NEAC inter-division game is scheduled to tip-off at 3:00 PM.
