WBB: Wildcat Win Streak at Eight After Big Win at Home.

MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly women's basketball team won big against Cazenovia College to extend their winning streak to eight games. SUNY Poly took control of the game in the first quarter did not give in at all for the remainder of regulation. They would end up winning by a final score of 89-41.

 

NOTABLES:

  • Molly Burdick (Johnson City, N.Y. ) lead the charge for SUNY Poly with a double-double. She had 18 points and 11 rebounds. Burdick also added five steals and two assists.
  • SUNY Poly had two other players with double-figure points. Taylor Ann Day (Brooktondale, N.Y.) and Kiersten Leos (North Bay, N.Y.). Day had 13 points, six boards, and an assist. Leos had 11 points, five assists, and a rebound.
  • Cazenovia College was lead by their two double-digit scorers Danielle Caivana who had 12 points and Amy Holland who had 10.
  • SUNY Poly controlled the four major categories. They shot 41.2% from the field and 28.1% from three. They dominated the glass, outrebounding Cazenovia 61-35 and won the turnover battle 24-10.

The Wildcats will hit the road for a NEAC North Division game at Morrisville State on Wednesday, February 5th. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM tip-off.
