WBB: Wildcats Stay Undefeated in NEAC Play With Win at Cobleskill.

COBLESKILL, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly women's basketball team won a key North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game on the road at Cobleskill. The Wildcats got down in the first quarter 19-15. They turned it on defensively holding Cobleskill to 15 points in the second and third quarters combined. That defensive push would be enough to top the Fighting Tigers. The final score was 68-51.

 

NOTABLES:

  • After being named NEAC Player of the Week, Molly Burdick (Johnson City, N.Y.) scored a game-high 23 points and was one rebound short of a double-double with nine total rebounds. She also had three steals and an assist in the game.
  • Jadia Washington (Elmira, N.Y.) had another big game for the 'Cats. She recorded her third double-double of the season. She scored 10 points with 11 rebounds. She also added two blocks, two steals, and two assists.
  • Taylor Ann Day (Brooktondale, N.Y.) added 12 points for the Wildcats while grabbing four rebounds, also adding two steals and two blocks.
  • Nylasia Sutton led the Fighting Tigers with 14 points and a team-high four assists. 
  • Anna Post led the team with nine rebounds and added six points.
  • The Wildcats played an all-around strong game winning the turnover battle, and outshooting the Tigers both from the field and from behind the three-point line. They also won the battle on the glass and in the paint.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will be back in action at home taking on NEAC rival Keuka. The Wolves are 7-6 with a 3-3 record in NEAC play. They are set for a 3:00 PM tip-off at SUNY Poly's Campus Center Gym.
