WBB: Wildcats Top Purchase For First Win of the Season.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball won their first game against the Purchase College Panthers by a score of 61-47. The Wildcats offense played their strongest game of the year they shot 37% from the field but only 15% from three and made 11-15 free throws. Purchase falls to 0-4 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 1-2.

 

NOTABLES:

  • Molly Burdick(Johnson City, N.Y.) had a game-high nineteen points and five boards for the SUNY Poly in 34 minutes played.
  • Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) seven points, four rebounds, two assists, a game-high nine steals, and a pair of blocks for the Wildcats in 31 minutes.
  • Jadia Washington (Elmira, N.Y.) scored six points, with a game-high nine rebounds, and two blocks for SUNY Poly.
  • Arta Krasniqi led Purchase with thirteen points, eight rebounds, and 3 steals all of which were team-highs.
