MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball lost to the Hamilton College Continentals on Friday in the opening game of the Cardinal Classic by a score of 59-48. The Wildcats struggled offensively shooting 37% from the field and 25% from three. The Continentals improved their season record to 2-0 with the win while the Wildcats fall to 0-2.

 

NOTABLES:

  • Taylor Ann Day (Brooktondale, N.Y.) had a team-high nine points for the Wildcats.
  • Molly Burdick(Johnson City, N.Y.) had eight points and four boards for the SUNY Poly in 39 minutes played.
  • Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) had five points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals, and a block for the Wildcats in 36 minutes.
  • Kelcie Zarle had a game-high 23 points for the Continentals. She shot 57% from the floor, 64% from three and had four rebounds.
  • Carly O'Hern had 14 points, six rebounds, an assist, and a pair of steals.

The Wildcats will face Purchase on Saturday, November 23rd in the second round of the 2019 Plattsburgh Cardinal Classic. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 PM tip-off.
