WBB: Wildcats Win at Berks 79-43 to Improve to 15-1 in the NEAC.

READING, PA. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team defeated Penn State Berks on Saturday 79-43. The Wildcats got off to their typical fast start, jumping out to a 20-8 lead in the first quarter. The lead would stay in the possession of the Wildcats, who would finish out the game with the 79-43 win.

Stevie Ray (Syracuse, N.Y. / Fabius-Pompey HS) led all scorers with 16 points on 6-7 shooting. Stevie shot a perfect 4-4 from behind the arc and had seven rebounds and three steals in 25 minutes of work. Paige Gallo (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa HS) also had a solid performance for the Wildcats recording 14 points, three rebounds, and two assists. She shot 66% from three point land and went a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. The remainder of the offense was spread throughout the lineup. 11 of the 15 Wildcat players scored a point in the game.

With the win, the Wildcats improve to 15-1 in NEAC play. The team will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Keuka College to take on the 6-15 Wolfpack. Live video will be available for the game HERE
