WBB: Wildcats Make a Statement With a 32 Point Win Over Morrisville.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team hosted Morrisville State on Wednesday in a NEAC Divisional match-up. The first place Wildcats came into the game looking to make a statement, and boy did they make one. After a close first quarter, the Wildcats went on a tear against the second place Mustangs; outscoring them by 28 points down the stretch to finish off the 32 point win 70-38.

Geena Gallo (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa HS) was the game's leading scorer with 24 points. She shot 77 percent from the field (10-13). Gallo also grabbed seven rebounds, had two steals, and an assist. The game marks her sixth game of the season where she has scored at least 20 points, and her tenth where she has grabbed at least seven rebounds.

Lauren Knowles (Salisbury Mills, N.Y. / Washingtonville HS) had a phenomenal all-around game. She recorded a game high and season high nine assists. Knowles recorded seven points and grabbed eight rebounds; three of which were offensive. Stevie Ray (Syracuse, N.Y. / Fabius-Pompey HS) had another high scoring game with 18 points. She also recorded four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

The Mustangs Caitlynn Adams scored a team high 10 points, had a team high nine rebounds, two steals, and a block.

The Wildcats stay undefeated in NEAC play with the win. Their record now stands at 14-4 (11-0 NEAC). The team will look for win number 12 on Saturday when they host Penn State Abington. The game is scheduled for a 3:00 PM tip-off. Live stats will be available HERE.
