WBB: Knowles Records Her Sixth Double-Double of the Season in 55-51 Win Over Morrisville.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team traveled to Morrisville on Wednesday for a NEAC Conference matchup with division rival Morrisville State. The Wildcats managed to secure their sixth NEAC win by a slim four point margin. The final score was SUNY Poly 55, Morrisville 51.

Lauren Knowles (Salisbury Mills, N.Y. / Washingtonville HS) recorded her sixth double-double of the season. She scored 14 for the Wildcats and hit the boards for a game high 10 rebounds. Lauren also had two steals, a block, and an assist in the game.

Stevie Ray (Syracuse, N.Y. / Fabius-Pompey HS) led all scorers with 22 points in the game. She drained 5 three pointers and shot 47% from the field. She also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out two assists and had a steal in her 39 minutes of play.

The Wildcats shot 35% as a team in the game against Morrisville. They out rebounded the Mustangs (50-45), had more assists (16-11), and had more second chance points (16-10) the Wildcats largest lead of the game was six points. The lead changed hands seven times in the game.

The win extends SUNY Poly's NEAC winning streak to six games. The Wildcats are now 9-4 (6-0 NEAC). The women will look to make it seven NEAC wins in a row on Sunday when they will travel to Williamsport to take on Penn College. The game is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
