Lady Wildcats Drop Ninety-four in Win Over St. Elizabeth

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Women's Basketball Team (5-5, 3-1 NEAC) jumped out early on Saturday and never looked back in running away from the College of St. Elizabeth Screamin' Eagles by a score of 94-56.

The Wildcats poured in 45 points in the first half on a lights-out 49% shooting from the floor. In particular, SUNYIT pushed the pace in transition, as Lauren Marleau (Prospect, N.Y. / Holland Patent) ran past the Eagle defense for 10 points in the first half, most of which were fastbreak layups. Many of those layups came from junior Abbey Hanehan (Stillwater, N.Y. / Stillwater), who recorded a team-high 4 assists in the first half. Hanehan was all over the floor in the first half, also scoring 9 points and pulling down a team-leading 5 rebounds.

Second half details to follow.
