SUNYIT Outscored 84-52 by Ithaca

MARCY, N.Y.  -  The SUNYIT Women's Basketball team was beaten Friday by 32 points. The loss to the Ithaca Bombers was a tough one for the women to swallow as they were dominated in essentially every offensive category right from the start.

The Lady Wildcats were overmatched by the Bombers as they generated 32 points off of 22 Wildcat turnovers. The Bombers were led by Kathryn Campbell who had 19 points, and local sophomore Franchesca Cotrupe from Whitesboro who had a career high 13 points.

The Wildcat's were led statistically by senior Lyndsey Brognano (Rome N.Y. / Rome Free Academy) who sank five 3-pointers while registered 18 points on the day. Freshman Deasia Goodson (Freeport, N.Y. / Freeport H.S.) played a really solid all-around game. Deasia had 9 rebounds (game high, 6 offensive), had 14 points, 3 blocks (game high), 2 assists, and went 2-2 from the charity stripe.

With the loss, the Wildcat's fall to a record of 1-4. Their next game is at the Trinity Christmas Classic in San Antonio, TX on Dec. 28 at 3:00 pm.
