Win Streak Snapped as Keuka Downs Wildcats, 68-60

UTICA, N.Y. – The SUNYIT women's basketball team dropped their third game of the season and first in the NEAC this afternoon against Keuka College, 68-60.  With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 13-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference while the Storm improves to 10-4 overall and 8-2 in the NEAC. 

Leading the Wildcats' offense was junior guard Lyndsey Brognano (Rome, N.Y./Roosevelt) who had 19 points and two assists.  Sophomore forward Abbey Hanehan (Stillwater, N.Y./Stillwater Central) posted nine points with sophomore guard Nailah Cherry (Roosevelt, N.Y./Roosevelt) contributing nine as well as adding three assists on the afternoon.  Cherry posted 11 rebounds for the defense and junior forward Ashley Schmidt (Camden, N.Y./Camden) brought down five. 

Keuka's sophomore forward Mariah Mouzon (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Academy) led the Storm's offense with 23 points and 17 rebounds.  Freshman forward Brittany Hadley (Jasper, N.Y./Jasper-Troupsburg) contributed with 13 points, two assists and four rebounds while sophomore guard Danielle Gravel (Sidney, N.Y./Sidney) added 10 points for the win.

The Lady Wildcats return to the Campus Center Court Sunday January 29th where they will host NEAC opponent Wells College.  A 3 p.m. tip-off is scheduled.
