CANTON, N.Y. - SUNY Poly softball continued its dominant play on Friday with a 14-0 victory over SUNY Canton in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. The Wildcats remain undefeated in NAC play at 4-0 and now have a 13-4 overall record. HOW IT HAPPENED:

SUNY Poly jumped out to an early lead in the first inning with two runs. With Ava Faragon on first after a single, Amy DeSena grounded a ball to the left side. Taylor Hunter had an RBI groundout to extend the lead to nine. Maddelyn Hoehn joined the party in the fifth with a two-RBI double to left center field. Amy DeSena also had an RBI single in the fifth.

Kimberly Birmingham hit a solo home run in the fifth to extend SUNY Poly's lead to 14-0. Where the game would end after Critelli's 1-2-3 bottom of the fifth to enact the mercy rule.
