MXC: Wildcats Place Third in SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational

Utica, N.Y - The SUNY Poly Men's Cross Country team hosted the SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational on August 31st. Seven teams in total competed in the 6k race, with SUNY Poly finishing in third place.

Sophomore Bennett Molita of Utica University took first place in the race, finishing with an impressive time of 19:21.2. 

Overall, Utica University took home the top prize, compiling a total of 25 points. SUNY Oneonta was not far behind, securing second place with 30 points. SUNY Poly finished the race in third place with 109 points. Hartwick College, MVCC, Albany College of Pharmacy and Herkimer CC would take the next four spots. 

Noah Breedy finished with the best time for the Wildcats, securing 17th place with a time of 23:47.0. Jack McCarthy completed the course with a time of 24:15.0, while Alexander Whiteman followed him closely with a time of 24:22.5.

The Wildcats will travel to SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, September 7th to take part in the Steven A. Warde Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
