MVB: Wildcats Close Out the Regular Season With a 3-0 Win Over Keuka.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball finished their regular season on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Keuka College (25-22, 25-20, 25-20). The Wildcats, who already clinched a playoff spot, are now the number two seed in the NEAC Championship Tournament based on a tie-breaker with Penn State Altoona.

As a team, the Wildcats outhit Keuka by .109 in the match. The Wildcats won in nearly every aspect of the match. They had more kills, more assists, more digs, and more service aces. The Wolfpack had the edge in just one statistical category; blocking.

A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats with a match high 16 kills. He hit .281 on 32 attempts and registered seven digs, a service ace, and a block assist in his last match at the Wildcat Field House.

Ryan Gloff (Brockport, N.Y.) and Nick Hagen (Hilton, N.Y.) each had eight kills in the match. Gloff recorded a team high .462 hitting percentage on 13 swings. Hagen hit.263 on 19 attempts and had a service ace, two digs, and three block assists.

Brian Malsan (Slingerlands, N.Y.) tied Keuka's Cooper Lyon with a match high 11 digs.

Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) had a match high 40 assists for the Wildcats. He also had four digs, two block assists, and two kills in the match.

For Keuka; Connor Hinman had a team high seven kills, Tom Campbell had a match high .556 hitting percentage on nine swings, and Chris Corcoran had a team high 12 assists.

The Wildcats finish up their regular season with a 19-10 record (12-4 NEAC). The teams next match will be a first round match up with Penn State Altoona in the first round of the NEAC Championship Tournament. Details about the tournament will be released early next week in a preview article.
