MVB: Wildcats Down Sage in Three Sets. Davids With a Game High 14 Kills.

ALBANY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team traveled to Albany to take on the Sage College Gators on Wednesday. The Wildcats would come away with a 3-0 win going 25-11, 25-21, 25-21. The Wildcats hit a very effective .269 as a team in the match.

A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton HS) led all players with 14 kills in the three set match. He hit .360 in the match and recorded four digs and three block assists.

Nick Hagen (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton HS) hit a game high .625 on eight attempts. He also recorded 2.5 total blocks in the match. Max Szuba (Irondequoit, N.Y. / Irondequoit HS) recorded seven kills, six digs, and a service ace in the match. Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass. / Agawam HS) had 30 assists and did a good job setting the Wildcats up for success. He also had four digs and three kills.  

The win brings the Wildcats over .500 for the season with a record of 3-2. The team will be on the road on Friday to match up with Penn State Behrend in a non-conference match at Keuka College. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
